The most important work in a school happens on the floor.

A student gets better because an instructor knows what they are working on, what they missed last week and what they need before their next test. That knowledge usually lives in one person’s head or on a clipboard.

Most school software is built for the front desk. Billing matters, and Konjo handles it. But I didn’t start this to make invoices faster. I started it because I wanted instructors to walk onto the mat with the right information, and students to see their own progress between classes.

That is what I care about most: better teaching, and students who stay because they can feel themselves improving. The business side should run quietly underneath.

The name comes from the Japanese word konjō: guts, or the willingness to keep going. In Amharic, the same sound means beautiful. I like both.
