MyStudio or Konjo?
What each one is built for
MyStudio was built first to sell a studio’s memberships, trials, events and retail online. Konjo was built around a belt ladder and what a student does between classes.
What Konjo is built for
Martial arts schools that teach a curriculum and grade people against it. Belts, requirements, testing, attendance and the money that keeps the doors open, in one system.
One flat monthly price for your location, every feature in it, no plan levels and no per-student fee. We give you the figure on the call, because founding-dojo pricing is open while we launch and we would rather quote you than date-stamp a number on a page.
What MyStudio is built for
Owners of studios that sell memberships, trials, events and retail online, and want belts handled properly.
MyStudio is management software for martial arts schools, dance studios and after-school programs, made by owners who ran their own locations. It publishes three plans for a single location, and it has the deepest belt and rank system of the products on this page.
Konjo and MyStudio, row by row
24 rows, in the order an owner asks them, with a dated source under every claim about MyStudio.
- Included — the product does this
- Partial — it does part of this
- Not offered — it does not do this
- Not published — its own pages do not answer this row, so we do not score it
How to read the marks. Sources in the MyStudio column are MyStudio’s own pages, or a third party where the note says so. Every Konjo cell links to the Konjo page that describes it — our own word, not an outside check. A mark scores what a product does, not what it charges for it: where a feature costs extra, the mark stands and the price is in the note beside it.

Take any row that matters to your school and we will show you the answer with the product open — including the rows MyStudio wins.
Where each one is ahead
Both lists are short, and neither one is padded. If something on the left is the thing your dojo runs on, say so on the call and we will tell you straight whether to wait.
Where MyStudio is ahead
- Its billing is running today. MyStudio sells memberships, trials, events and retail online on every plan. Your dojo’s own Stripe account is connected during Guided Launch, and no school is billing live on it yet.
- Belt testing goes further than ours, on the plans that carry it. Konjo runs test events, rosters, requirements and promotions. MyStudio also works out who is eligible from attendance minimums and time in rank, and it keeps track of your belt stock — on its $159 plan and above. Its $79 plan tracks ranks with no testing workflow in it.
- It builds you a website. Konjo gives your dojo one public page, not a site you can add pages to.
- It answers leads with AI. Konjo has messages and automations, and no AI follow-up.
- It has a track record. Its site says more than 2,000 studios, and it has 171 reviews on Capterra. Konjo is launching with its first schools.
- Setting you up is inside the monthly price. Its pricing page says every plan, from $79 a month, includes white-glove onboarding, data migration, a dedicated account manager and a care team on call, chat and email. Konjo charges Guided Launch separately, because a founder building your school section by section is real hours — and you get that figure quoted next to your monthly price before you commit to anything.
Where Konjo is ahead
- Students get a training journal, a curriculum they can practice from, flashcards and video coaching. MyStudio’s app is built around booking and paying.
- Nothing is held back for a higher plan. Testing, the tablet check-in and the automations that MyStudio puts on its $159 and $239 plans are simply included.
- Konjo adds no markup to card processing, and there is no plan level that changes your rate.
- One flat price for your location, whatever else you add later.
Moving from MyStudio
Ask MyStudio for every export it offers, including rank and promotion history. Send it to us in whatever shape it arrives, and we will tell you what is missing before you agree on a launch date.
What we bring across
Your people and households, and the rank each student holds today on your own ladder. Your memberships and who is on what, your belt ladders and what each rank requires, your programs, your class schedule and your curriculum with its video. Your waiver, your locations, and the first year a new student follows. Nobody arrives in Konjo as a white belt.
What we quote separately: the dated history behind all of it — past promotions, attendance and payments in your old system. Send the exports and we scope it with you before you commit to a date.
Recurring billing is set up again on Stripe, and each family enters a card once. Konjo does not import saved card numbers.
Konjo builds your dojo from those exports, section by section. You read every section and ask for corrections, and nothing goes live until you have approved it.
See both, with your own school in front of you.
Bring your dojo’s ranks, classes and curriculum. We will show you Konjo running with them, and answer any row in the table with the product open.
Three boxes and a tap, and the rest is optional. Galen replies within one business day. The call takes about 30 minutes. It runs on a sample dojo set up with ranks like yours.
