PushPress or Konjo?

PushPress is far bigger than Konjo and publishes its card rates. Konjo knows what a belt test is, and the member app is not a line item. Every row is below, with sources.

What each one is built for

PushPress was built first to make a gym’s billing, booking and check-in reliable. Konjo was built around a belt ladder and what a student does between classes.

What Konjo is built for

Martial arts schools that teach a curriculum and grade people against it. Belts, requirements, testing, attendance and the money that keeps the doors open, in one system.

What it costs

One flat monthly price for your location, every feature in it, no plan levels and no per-student fee. We give you the figure on the call, because founding-dojo pricing is open while we launch and we would rather quote you than date-stamp a number on a page.

What PushPress is built for

Gyms of any kind that want billing, booking and check-in to be reliable, and buy the rest as add-ons.

PushPress is gym management software, built first for CrossFit boxes and fitness gyms, with martial arts as one of the markets it serves. Its site says more than 5,000 gyms use it, and it publishes both its plan prices and its card processing rates.

What it costs

Four line items to assemble, not one price. A Core plan comes first — Free, $159 or $229 a month — and the card rate falls as the plan rises, from 4.99% to 2.75%. Then Grow at $329, Train from $79, and a branded member app at $81 to $97 a month.

Row by row

Konjo and PushPress, row by row

24 rows, in the order an owner asks them, with a dated source under every claim about PushPress.

  • Includedthe product does this
  • Partialit does part of this
  • Not offeredit does not do this
  • Not publishedits own pages do not answer this row, so we do not score it

How to read the marks. Sources in the PushPress column are PushPress’s own pages, or a third party where the note says so. Every Konjo cell links to the Konjo page that describes it — our own word, not an outside check. A mark scores what a product does, not what it charges for it: where a feature costs extra, the mark stands and the price is in the note beside it.

Take any row that matters to your school and we will show you the answer with the product open — including the rows PushPress wins.

Won and lost

Where each one is ahead

Both lists are short, and neither one is padded. If something on the left is the thing your dojo runs on, say so on the call and we will tell you straight whether to wait.

Where PushPress is ahead

  • Its billing is running today. Billing and payments are in every PushPress Core plan, the free one included. Your dojo’s own Stripe account is connected during Guided Launch, and no school is billing live on it yet.
  • It is far bigger. Its martial arts page says 5,000+ gyms in 46 countries, and it shows ratings from three review sites. Konjo has none of that yet.
  • Its marketing goes further. Grow does websites and a lead pipeline on top of the messaging both products send. Konjo has no lead funnel and no AI that answers a new lead.
  • It publishes a phone number and a mailing address, and it answers support on a stated schedule.
  • There is a free plan. If your school is small and you can live with 4.99% on every card, PushPress costs nothing a month.

Where Konjo is ahead

  • Konjo runs the whole test. PushPress tracks a rank against criteria you set and sells invite-only events for belt tests — but no list of who is eligible on your requirements, no results workflow, no bulk promotion and no curriculum behind it.
  • The member app is included. On PushPress the branded app is $81 to $97 a month on top of a plan.
  • One price instead of four line items. A martial arts school buying the equivalent of Konjo from PushPress is assembling Core, Grow, Train and the app.
  • Card processing is Stripe’s rate. On PushPress the rate you pay depends on which plan you are on.
Switching

Moving from PushPress

Ask PushPress for every export it offers, including members, memberships and rank. Send it to us in whatever shape it arrives, and we will tell you what is missing before you agree on a launch date.

What we bring across

Your people and households, and the rank each student holds today on your own ladder. Your memberships and who is on what, your belt ladders and what each rank requires, your programs, your class schedule and your curriculum with its video. Your waiver, your locations, and the first year a new student follows. Nobody arrives in Konjo as a white belt.

What we quote separately: the dated history behind all of it — past promotions, attendance and payments in your old system. Send the exports and we scope it with you before you commit to a date.

Recurring billing is set up again on Stripe, and each family enters a card once. Konjo does not import saved card numbers.

Konjo builds your dojo from those exports, section by section. You read every section and ask for corrections, and nothing goes live until you have approved it.

Next step

See both, with your own school in front of you.

Bring your dojo’s ranks, classes and curriculum. We will show you Konjo running with them, and answer any row in the table with the product open.

Three boxes and a tap, and the rest is optional. Galen replies within one business day. The call takes about 30 minutes. It runs on a sample dojo set up with ranks like yours.
