Zen Planner or Konjo?

Zen Planner publishes its price, and that price steps eight times as your school grows — before the website, the engagement product and the branded app are added to it. Konjo is one flat price for your location with everything in. Every row is below, with sources.

What each one is built for

Zen Planner was built first to run a large multi-discipline studio, priced on how many members it has. Konjo was built around a belt ladder and what a student does between classes.

What Konjo is built for

Martial arts schools that teach a curriculum and grade people against it. Belts, requirements, testing, attendance and the money that keeps the doors open, in one system.

What it costs

One flat monthly price for your location, every feature in it, no plan levels and no per-student fee. We give you the figure on the call, because founding-dojo pricing is open while we launch and we would rather quote you than date-stamp a number on a page.

What Zen Planner is built for

Established gyms and studios that want a large platform priced on active members, with the marketing and website pieces bought alongside it.

Zen Planner is gym and studio management software, part of Daxko, sold to martial arts schools alongside yoga, pilates, dance, gymnastics and functional fitness. It publishes a full price grid banded by how many active members a school has, and sells its website, engagement and branded-app products on top of it.

What it costs

A published grid, banded on active members and never staff: $99 a month up to 45, then $133, $155, $189, $229, $239, $269 and $289 at 251 and above. On top of that a website at $99, Zen Planner Engage at $249 and a branded app at $39, or bundles from $198 to $538. Third-party reports put it on twelve-month commitments.

24 rows, in the order an owner asks them, with a dated source under every claim about Zen Planner.

How to read the marks. Sources in the Zen Planner column are Zen Planner’s own pages, or a third party where the note says so. Every Konjo cell links to the Konjo page that describes it — our own word, not an outside check. A mark scores what a product does, not what it charges for it: where a feature costs extra, the mark stands and the price is in the note beside it.

Take any row that matters to your school and we will show you the answer with the product open — including the rows Zen Planner wins.

Won and lost

Where each one is ahead

Both lists are short, and neither one is padded. If something on the left is the thing your dojo runs on, say so on the call and we will tell you straight whether to wait.

Where Zen Planner is ahead

  • Its billing is running today. Billing and payment processing are in the Zen Planner package at every price level. Your dojo’s own Stripe account is connected during Guided Launch, and no school is billing live on it yet.
  • It has been in the market far longer, and it is part of Daxko, with a help center and a support organization behind it.
  • It does belts, families and shared curriculum on its martial arts pages: rank on a profile, one household account, and technique videos for the skills a student needs to rank.
  • It sells a website at $99 a month and a branded member app carrying your school’s name at $39. Konjo has neither.
  • Zen Planner Engage, at $249 a month, carries marketing automation and a lead funnel that Konjo does not do.
  • A small school pays less. At 45 active members or fewer, the whole Studio package is $99 a month.

Where Konjo is ahead

  • Your price does not step as the school grows. Zen Planner moves through eight bands on active members alone, from $99 a month to $289.
  • One price, not a stack. Zen Planner’s website, engagement product and branded app are $99, $249 and $39 a month on top of whichever band you land in.
  • No contract and no minimum term. Zen Planner is reported to ask for twelve months.
  • Your data comes out as CSV at no charge, while you are a customer and for 30 days after. Zen Planner is reported to charge about $750 for an export.
  • Belts, curriculum, testing and readiness are the product. Zen Planner tracks belts well, and martial arts is one of a dozen markets it sells the same software to.
Switching

Moving from Zen Planner

Third-party reports say Zen Planner charges around $750 for a data export, so ask for your data early and read your agreement first. Send us whatever you get and we will work with the shape it arrives in.

What we bring across

Your people and households, and the rank each student holds today on your own ladder. Your memberships and who is on what, your belt ladders and what each rank requires, your programs, your class schedule and your curriculum with its video. Your waiver, your locations, and the first year a new student follows. Nobody arrives in Konjo as a white belt.

What we quote separately: the dated history behind all of it — past promotions, attendance and payments in your old system. Send the exports and we scope it with you before you commit to a date.

Recurring billing is set up again on Stripe, and each family enters a card once. Konjo does not import saved card numbers.

Konjo builds your dojo from those exports, section by section. You read every section and ask for corrections, and nothing goes live until you have approved it.

Next step

See both, with your own school in front of you.

Bring your dojo’s ranks, classes and curriculum. We will show you Konjo running with them, and answer any row in the table with the product open.

Three boxes and a tap, and the rest is optional. Galen replies within one business day. The call takes about 30 minutes. It runs on a sample dojo set up with ranks like yours.
